Meet Our Team

Wallene Reimer

Wallene founded Designer Support in 1990 while still in college and has been working with Interior Designers and Showrooms since that first year. Wallene has a very unique understanding of the design industry, both from working directly with so many designers and showrooms, as well as from working alongside the developers of the applications that our industry uses on a daily basis. Wallene has worked closely with firms of all sizes and loves the one-on-one contact with business owners who, like herself, started a business so they could make money doing what they love.  She has managed both large and small teams and knows what it takes to make a business successful. She is constantly looking for ways to be more organized and efficient and shares her knowledge and tools with passion.

Sylvia Kurtz

Sylvia came to Designer Support in 2006 when one of the designers she was working with decided to retire.  Always open to new ideas and concepts, she learns what's needed and passes what she learns on to her clients.  She's helped hundreds of designers with Impact Designer, Studio Designer desktop and Studio Designer cloud versions, and is our main traveling trainer, going on-site to firms across the US to provide training and accounting setup to make transitions smooth and seamless.  Sylvia's strengths are training, problem solving, and people skills, but she also has a loyal following of regular accounting clients that depend on her consistency and diligence to keep things running smoothly.

Matt Drew

Matt, an expert at report and custom form building, is one of our technical gurus.  He works with all of the applications that we support to create the reports that are needed, repair databases, track down random error messages, and figure out the toughest problems.  Matt began his career at Designer Support in 2007, straight out of high school. He worked with us for seven years before starting college and moving to Colorado where he worked as an MVNO Support Representative. He graduated with Phi Theta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude honors.  He then rejoined the Designer Support family and has been a full-time part of our team since 2015.

Leslie Hice

Leslie worked with Designer Support from 2004 to 2008, working with designers and showrooms doing bookkeeping, database repairs, and custom reports.  She returned to us in 2017 after working with AVG Technologies managing their business support center.  After some refresher time, Leslie began providing Studio Designer's chat and free email support.  Leslie does a lot of bookkeeping and general support, but is also very technically inclined and is great with custom reports / forms.  She knows all of the extra functions in Studio Designer that are not common knowledge and is amazingly patient.  Leslie received a B.S. in Communication from UNC-Greensboro.

Tracy Lubsen, CPA

Tracy joined the team in 2018 and has 25+ years of experience in accounting for professionals. Originally from High Point, NC, Tracy was pursuing a degree in Interior Design. After taking her first accounting course at Appalachian State University, she decided to change her major to Accounting. Since obtaining her CPA license she has worked in private, high-end furniture accounting as well as in the public accounting venue preparing corporate and individual tax returns. Tracy would be a great asset to any designer looking to convert their bookkeeping to Studio Designer from other software and keep their books neat and tidy. She understands what it takes to give designers the help and confidence they need to keep their business financials running smoothly. She enjoys bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and sales tax preparation, but more importantly she loves to help people!

Nathalie Drew

Nathalie began working as a bookkeeper and business manager in 2017, joining Designer Support full-time in 2020. With her exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail, she works closely with her clients to ensure their needs are met. Dedicated to their success, Nathalie makes herself readily available and goes above and beyond to assist her clients in any way possible. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors in 2015.

Suzanne Thatcher

With over 25 years of expertise in accounting and finance, Suzanne joined Designer Support in 2019 following the retirement of a private client. Her experience spans various aspects of accounting, including bookkeeping, sales tax management, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate records. Suzanne thrives on stepping in to clean up and streamline her clients' books. Currently working towards her post-baccalaureate CPA, she is committed to expanding her skills while providing clients with reliable and efficient accounting solutions.

Linda Gardner

Linda worked for a high-end Design Firm with many roles as an Office Administrator, which included purchasing and reviewing orders for accuracy, Design Assistant duties, as well as Bookkeeping services. Linda holds a BSBA from Western Carolina and began working with Designer Support in 2023 when she moved to another state. She loves working with Designers and providing bookkeeping services, helping any way she can

Monique Leanio

Monique has been an accountant with Designer Support since 2016.  She holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, East Bay, and has over eight years of experience in the accounting field.  She loves to help interior design businesses of all sizes, but especially enjoys training new users to use the program to increase efficiency.  She is passionate about keeping her clients' books accurate, organized, and updated so they can spend more time doing what they love and growing their businesses.

Tracy Backers

Tracy has worked in the design industry as a design administrative assistant and bookkeeper for 25 years.  She's worked with the desktop versions of Impact and Studio Designer, as well as the current cloud version of Studio Designer, and continues to support clients that have not made the transition to current versions.  Having a detailed understanding of both the design business and bookkeeping requirements of designers allows her to help her clients with project management tasks along with vendor relationships and expediting.  Tracy enjoys working with individual designers as well as small to medium sized design firms.  Tracy began working with Designer Support in 2014 and holds a B.S. in Communication from the University of Maryland.
